Toni and Brian met in the NE of England in 1986.  In 1988 the duo was formed and they began working the Northern Club circuit as ‘Summer Rose’ a combination of their surnames.  They performed at several Command Shows which led to Cruising Worldwide plus appearances at major UK venues as well as summer seasons in Blackpool and the Costa Brava and winter seasons in Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Dubai.  Over the years they supported many top British entertainers including:  Vince Hill, George Roper, Bernard Manning, The Glitter Band, Orville & Keith Harris, Roy Walker and Frank Carson in Tenerife.

April 2001 they made the move to the Costa Blanca.  On arriving they soon discovered that “your reputation does not go before you” and have to go knocking on doors.  It didn’t take long before they were working and building their reputation.

Toni was born in London and comes from a musical back-ground.  Both her grandfather and father were singers, her father Vic Rose was a singer with the big bands in the 30’s and 40’s.

Toni won her first competition at Butlin’s when she was only 9 years old, sang in groups from the age of 12 and joined a professional dance band at the tender age of 17, working at top London Hotels and Mecca venues plus P & O and Cunard cruises, which led her in to session work as a backing singer.  A 6 month contract in the Canaries that lasted 3 years transformed her from a Band Singer into a Cabaret entertainer.

From the Canaries she moved on to The Skyways Motel, Miami and American Forces Bases in Germany and Italy.  During a summer season in Jersey she met her late husband who came from Manchester where she made her home for many years. She was taken under management and worked at many prestigious venues all over the UK and a 3 month tour in the Far East.

During 1986 when living and singing in Blackpool Toni was introduced to Frank Carson and invited to appear with him at the Marine Hall, Fleetwood.  He was so impressed by her vocal talents that he asked her to appear with him at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London before HRH The Duchess of Kent at a major Charity event.

After the untimely death of her husband she continued her solo career and later, on a 10 day tour in the NE of England, she met Brian.

Brian hails from the North of England and first discovered he could sing when he was 17 years old.

He entered a talent competition singing a Cliff Richard song called “Move It” and won.  A local band was there and asked him to join them.  This was in 196?  and his professional singing career had started.

Next Brian became a vocalist with a 17 piece House Band at Top Rank & Mecca Ballrooms.

Later he formed a Soul Band and worked all over the North West, which included regularly appearing at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool as support to many top groups of the day, and also on the University Circuit.  From this Amber Rain evolved; they made a couple of records and toured in Germany and Scandinavia.

Brian then decided to embark on his solo career working the Northern Club and Cabaret circuits plus Hotel cabaret lounges in the Gulf States until travelling took its toll and he took a job near home as a compére in the early eighties.

After a couple of years at the same venue he got itchy feet and he decided to go back on the road again.  On a 10 day tour of the NE of England he met Toni.

Toni's voice has such clarity that she has on many occasions been compared to Karen Carpenter, which led to her producing her 'Top of the World' show dedicated to the great star.

Brian has been performing his ‘Magic of Sinatra’ show for a number of years and has taken his show to Australia with concerts in Perth in 2006 and Sydney in 2007.  He has also been compared to Neil Diamond as he seems to have the same edge in his voice as Neil.  Brian's Tribute 'Beautiful Noise'  certainly hits the spot with crowds and has them rocking.
